Jakarta 2025 UMP Determined on December 11

President Prabowo Subianto has announced the increase in the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) 2025 by 6.5 percent. Then the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower (Permenaker) of the Republic of Indonesia Number 16 of 2024 about the Determination of the Minimum Wage in 2025 has been issued as the legal basis for its implementation.

The announcement is planned in December 11

Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency Head, Hari Nugroho said his side is still preparing a meeting with Regional Wage Council.

"Direct cooperation has been made. The meeting with Regional Wage Council is held today. Then the result will be submitted to Acting Jakarta Governor tomorrow. The announcement is planned in December 11 by the Acting Jakarta Governor," he said, Monday (12/9).

Hari added that there will be a discussion on sectoral wages and UMP in the meeting to ensure that the welfare of workers in various sectors is maintained.

Hari emphasized ensuring the increase in the UMP to be in line with workers' needs and business continuity is important.

"The implementation of the 6.5 percent increase will be detailed in accordance with the technical instructions that have been regulated in the Minister of Manpower Regulation," he added.

He hoped that the increase in the UMP is expected to increase workers' purchasing ability while maintaining business competitiveness in Jakarta.

"The government is committed to improve workers' welfare while also boosting the regional economy through this effort," he stated.
